I have gone back and forth on what to do with Muffin for quite a while. As always, I’ll continue to let our waitlist help guide the final decision, but right now, this pairing makes the most sense in my mind.
I absolutely love Muffin’s beautiful merle coloring and balanced structure, and my goal is to gradually size her line down while maintaining everything we love about our dogs. Yukon complements her so well. Together, they can produce a wonderful variety of puppies, including furnished and unfurnished coats, as well as both traditional tricolor and merle tricolor patterns. We also expect their puppies to mature just a bit smaller, with some likely staying true minis while most should finish in the medium range, which is exactly what we expect from a multigenerational pairing.
This will be both Muffin’s and Yukon’s very first litter, and I truly couldn’t be more excited about this combination. Statistically, these puppies should average around 50% or even a low percentage ultra— no matter what label we give them, I think they’re going to be absolutely incredible.
