A Note from Jess
There’s so much to celebrate at CWB right now!
Summer always seems to fly by, but this one truly felt nonstop—in the very best way. Between keeping up with our kids and their schedules, busy days in the nursery, incredible selection days, training puppies, and watching so many of our pups leave with their forever families, there hasn’t been much downtime around here. But when I look back at everything we packed into these last few months, I’m reminded again just how fortunate I am to get to do something I genuinely love.
I was even able to travel with several of our puppies for their personalized deliveries this summer, and some of my favorite memories came from being able to bring my own kids along. They’ve grown up around this program, but now they’re getting old enough to really learn the ins and outs of what I do—from helping with puppies and training to capturing content and learning the social media side of the business. There’s something pretty special about getting to mentor them while also watching them discover where their own interests and talents fit into everything we’ve built.
We’ve had some truly incredible litters head home lately, and seeing the excitement on everyone’s faces at the end of this process will never get old. But for me, this has become about so much more than puppies. It’s watching relationships form, friendships grow, our business evolve, and the people around me find their own place within it. I love getting to mentor my family and my teammates, and I’m incredibly grateful for the friendships that have come from simply sharing something I’m passionate about with other like-minded people.
That same growth is happening in so many areas right now. Our nonprofit continues to take shape with an incredible group of board members behind it. Our training programs continue to grow in both depth and opportunity, and new relationships—like our partnership with Kody—have brought fresh knowledge, conversations, and excitement to what we can offer our families. We also have some really exciting additions coming to both our care and training teams that I can’t wait to share more about.
Meanwhile, puppy life certainly hasn’t slowed down! Kensi’s pups are breezing through their training journeys, Rosie’s puppies have all joined their forever families, and Pebbles is keeping all of us guessing as we wait to see what she has in store with her dual-sired litter. We have new litters being bred, exciting plans taking shape for fall and winter, TTP+ puppies reaching new milestones, and Maggie has returned to the meaningful therapy work that has always held such a special place in my heart.
There is a lot happening behind the scenes right now, and somehow I feel more excited about where we’re headed than ever. More Than Just a Puppy™ has always meant that what we do extends far beyond the day a family chooses their puppy—and lately, I feel like I’m watching that philosophy come to life in more ways than I ever imagined.
Thank you for continuing to follow along, trust our team, cheer us on, and become part of the relationships that make all of this so worthwhile. No two days are ever alike, my plans never work out as originally inteneded, and we learn to roll with what life gives us each and every day! But now more than ever, there is so much more to come this fall, and I can’t wait to share it with you.

As our program grows, our need for additional skills teammates is always changing. I have received some truly remarkable applications from applicants who I know will bring amazing skillsets to our already phenomenal team. Introducing the New TTP+: More Time, More Learning, and a Stronger Start
Training is about more than teaching commands—it’s about helping a puppy understand how to thrive within a family.

Sage’s Last Big Adventure Before Texas
The Heart Behind Our Turnkey Puppy Training Program
Before heading home to Texas, Sage had one final adventure with us: a morning at the farmers market.
She greeted new people gently, investigated the vendors, and confidently explored the busy streets filled with unfamiliar sights, sounds, and smells. Most importantly, she was happy, curious, and ready to look to her people for direction.
That joyful morning was a full-circle moment. Like every young dog, Sage experienced normal puppy fears and developmental stages during her time with us. Instead of avoiding those moments, we helped her work through them with thoughtful guidance, positive experiences, and intentional real-world exposure.
That is the heart of our customizable Turnkey Training Program. Building on the foundation established during TTP+, the additional weeks allow us to fine-tune skills, practice them in everyday environments, support puppies through developmental changes, and help close the gap between learning a skill and confidently using it in real life.
Sage’s family followed the entire journey through daily updates, photos, videos, and ongoing communication. Now, this sweet, loving, confident—and very happy—girl is ready for her next chapter at home.

From Our Home to Yours: The Turnkey Experience
Every family’s timeline—and every puppy’s needs—are different. That’s why any puppy enrolled in TTP+ can extend their stay through our fully customizable Turnkey Training Program for as many additional days as needed. Families choose the number of training days and off-site adventures that matter most to them, and we tailor the experience around their goals. That extra time allows us to strengthen skills, build confidence, work through normal developmental stages, and practice calm behavior in the real world—not just in a training environment.
Our personal delivery service makes the transition home even more special. Recently, Charlie traveled home to California, Sage to Texas, Brandy to Seattle, and Noodle to Virginia. Rather than simply sending a puppy on their way, Jess personally helps bring them into their new home, shares what they’ve learned, answers questions, and helps their family feel confident continuing the routines established during training.
Along with ongoing updates and the new TTP+ Training Handbook, it’s a thoughtful, supported homecoming designed to set both puppy and family up for success. Because at CWB, it has always been More Than Just a Puppy™.
Fall Kick-Off with Tethered by Grace Inc.
Join Tethered By Grace Inc. for the Walk With Grace Fall Kickoff on Sunday, October 18, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Vesper Dog Park. Families, friends, breeders, rescue families, dog lovers, and leashed dogs are all welcome! Welcoming Kody Hansen: Continued Support Through Every Stage of Puppyhood
We’re excited to welcome Kody Hansen of TOLO—They Only Live Once—as an additional training resource for CWB families. With more than 10,000 hours of hands-on experience, Kody specializes in guiding puppies and their people through the first year, helping families understand developmental changes, navigate challenges, and turn early training into reliable real-world skills.
Kody’s family-focused approach beautifully complements the foundation established through our puppy curriculum, TTP+, and customizable Turnkey Training Program. Together, we’ll offer families even more personalized support as their puppies grow into confident, well-adjusted adult dogs.

Honeymooned and Expected Soon
These pairings have already taken place, with several pregnancies now confirmed. We are eagerly counting down to puppy arrivals!
Mini/Micro Mini Multigen Bernedoodles — Pebbles × Saint/Asher
Expected October 5, 2026
This is one of those litters that makes breeding especially fun! Pebbles was dual-sired with Saint and his uncle, Asher, giving us two exciting possibilities and a little mystery to solve once these babies arrive.
Both pairings should produce wonderful, people-focused puppies in a smaller package, with their ultimate size depending in part on who Dad turns out to be. We may even get our first clue on delivery day! If Pebbles welcomes several Merle puppies, Saint is likely the dad. If we see little to no Merle, Asher becomes the more likely candidate. Of course, DNA will ultimately give us the official answer.
Because those results will take a few weeks, once the puppies arrive we will tentatively work through our Master List with families who are excited about this litter and willing to see the DNA process through. We’ll finalize placements and lock in deposits once parentage results are confirmed.
If you’re already on our Master List and Pebbles’ litter is one of your top contenders, it’s time to get excited! Her puppy count shows a nice size litter on they way, and we would take all the prayers and well wishes for her delivery. Keep a close eye on our updates because the first big surprise will be finding out exactly what—and who—Pebbles has been growing.

Giant Ultra Bernedoodles — Olive × Archie
Expected October 7, 2026
If you’ve been waiting for a BIG Bernedoodle, this is one to watch! We have had two previous litters with Olive and Archie’s dad, Rusty, and they produced some of the largest Bernedoodles we have ever raised. With that history behind this pairing, we are expecting Olive and Archie to follow right along—and this could be an especially exciting option for our Master List families hoping for a true giant.
Olive gave us a beautiful, large litter last time, and we are hopeful she has one more wonderful group of babies waiting for us as she heads into her retirement litter. She is such a big girl that it can be difficult to judge exactly how many puppies she is carrying from the outside, but we are hopeful. Her guardians say she may seem a bit smaller this time, so here is hoping that she is just hiding them under all that fur.
We expect all traditional tricolor puppies, with the possibility of both furnished and unfurnished coats (statistically 50% furnished and 50% unfurnished.) Between their size, classic coloring, and the history we already know and love from this line, we are incredibly excited to see what Olive gives us one final time.
If a big, beautiful Ultra Bernedoodle is at the top of your wish list, Master List families should definitely have Olive × Archie circled!

Medium F1 Bernedoodles — Mini × Zeke
Expected October 13, 2026
This pairing has a little extra meaning for us because Mini is out of our sweet therapy dog, Maggie, and comes from one of the strongest therapy-temperament lines in our program. That combination of sweetness, intuition, and connection to people is something we treasure and are always excited to carry forward.
We originally had different plans for Mini, but after looking at what our Master List families were hoping for, we decided that Zeke simply made more sense for this litter—and we are so excited we made the switch. Zeke has produced some of our absolute favorite puppies, and we know the potential behind these two will not disappoint!
We can expect traditional tricolor as well as sable and white puppies, with that beautiful classic Bernedoodle look. Mini is officially confirmed pregnant, but it’s still just a little too early to tell whether she has a big litter growing in there.
The next week should tell us a lot! Every Sunday our guardian families send in their baby-bump photos, so keep an eye on our Stories as we share Mini’s weekly progression. This is such a fun way for everyone to follow along and watch these babies grow right along with us.

Giant Ultra Bernedoodles — Bentley × Axel
Expected October 20, 2026
For families hoping for a big, beautiful Ultra Bernedoodle, Bentley’s litter is another one to have high on your radar—especially if you miss out on Olive’s litter or are hoping for some of the more unique Merle patterns Bentley can bring to the table.
Bentley is Kensi’s sister, so families who have been following Kensi and Alpha’s puppies have already gotten a little glimpse of the beautiful structure and overall look we love from this line. Bentley herself is big, boxy, confident, easygoing, and incredibly sweet, and we cannot wait to see those qualities come through in her babies. Axel (outside stud) has already produced some incredible puppies, making this pairing especially exciting. Anytime we use an outside stud, there is a good likeihood we will keep a pup (or two) back for our program! If you think a pup from this pair would be a good fit and you are interested in learning more about our guardian program, be sure to let me know ASAP.
Statistically, we expect approximately 75% furnished and 25% unfurnished puppies, but—as always—we won’t know which individual puppies are which until their DNA results come back. Master List families can tentatively begin following their favorites while we wait for those results.

Standard Ultra Bernedoodles — Muffin × Skip
Expected November 25, 2026
Some pairings are exciting because of what we hope they’ll produce, and others carry a little extra meaning because of the dogs behind them. Muffin and Skip are both.
Muffin is out of our beloved Sofia, while Skip is out of our therapy dog, Maggie—two dogs who have been incredibly foundational to our program and very special to our family. Having Muffin and Skip back with us throughout the breeding process has been such a gift, and this is a pairing we are especially excited about.
Muffin has the sweetest disposition. She is equal parts Velcro dog and independent—loving, affectionate, and happiest close to her people, while still having the confidence to simply be content on her own. Skip has that same wonderful sweetness paired with an incredible confidence that is hard to describe until you meet him. He is just an exceptionally special boy. For whatever reason he always reminds me of Inigo Montoya from the Princess Bride, who I was obsessed with and thought was SO COOL.
And then there’s Skip’s coloring! His beautiful brindle stripes have remained so strong that even at almost four years old, he still turns heads. We absolutely love the possibility of seeing some of that uniqueness come through in this next generation.
If all goes well, this litter should truly offer a little something for everyone, with the potential for furnished, fully furnished, and unfurnished puppies along with some of the most unique colors we have ever produced.
More than anything, though, we are excited to bring together two lines that mean so much to us. There is a lot of CWB history wrapped up in this pairing, and we cannot wait to see what Muffin and Skip create together. We will likely be keeping some of these, so let me know EARLY if you are interested in guardianship for furnished or unfurnished pups from this pair.
Important Reminders
How We Fill Litters
We fill our litters through a thoughtful, personal process designed to create the best possible matches. Families begin with an obligation-free application followed by a conversation with me (Jess) before being invited to reserve a place on our Master List. This allows families to wait for the timing, litter, size, coat, and characteristics that feel right for them rather than committing to a puppy before one is even born.
Once puppies arrive, Master List families are given the opportunity to join a specific litter and receive their Selection Spot. From there, families are invited into a private group where they can follow the puppies throughout their eight-week journey through frequent photos, videos, developmental updates, and health and temperament information. Our team is getting to know each puppy right alongside you, and I’m available to help families navigate those differences as Selection Day approaches.
Puppies are selected in reservation order near the end of those eight weeks, allowing families to choose with confidence—not simply from a photograph, but with a meaningful understanding of each puppy’s personality, strengths, and individual needs. For families choosing extended training, that relationship continues through our TTP+ and Turnkey programs, creating an even smoother transition from our home to yours.
Info on DNA Testing for Furnishings
Furnishings influence far more than a Bernedoodle’s appearance—they also affect shedding, grooming needs, and whether a puppy may be suitable for a family with allergies. In litters that can produce both furnished and unfurnished puppies, we use DNA testing and visual confirmation to accurately identify each puppy’s coat type before finalizing placements. Our complete guide explains how this process works, what families can expect, and how to determine which coat type best fits their lifestyle.
Planned Litters
These pairings are part of our upcoming plans, but breeding has not yet taken place. Timing, sire selections, and individual pairings may change according to heat cycles, waitlist needs, and what is best for our dogs.
Smaller/Medium Ultra Bernedoodles — Glitch × Rocky (In Heat)
Expected November 30, 2026
I’m really excited about this pairing because Glitch and Rocky bring together so many of the lines we have loved over the years. Glitch is out of my beloved Alexa and is such a confident, sweet and playful girl. She loves an adventure but is equally happy relaxing beside her people. Rocky comes from our Roo and Zeke lines and has grown into the most beautifully sized little Ultra boy. Having both of them here right now has made me even more excited about putting these two together—they are smaller, nicely proportioned dogs without a lot of height, and truly the type of size I have been working toward for our smaller Ultras.
I also want families to have realistic expectations when we use the word “mini” with an Ultra. Part of what makes these dogs special is maintaining that higher percentage of Bernese, along with the genetic diversity we have built through multiple generations. Because of that, there is only so small we can reasonably expect an Ultra to be. These won’t be tiny dogs- expected to be 45-60 pounds, but I truly think this pairing gives us one of our best opportunities to produce some of the smallest Ultras we will have available for the foreseeable future.
There should also be a really fun variety within this litter. Statistically, we expect approximately 25% unfurnished and 75% furnished, with some of those puppies potentially being fully furnished. We expect beautiful traditional tricolor markings throughout the litter, paired with everything from straight coats to loose, wavy coats. Of course, genetics never read our statistics quite as closely as we do, so we’ll ultimately let the puppies—and their DNA results—tell us exactly what we have!
Between their size, temperaments, coat possibilities, and the generations of dogs we know and love behind them, there is so much to be excited about with this pairing. For families who have been waiting for a smaller Ultra without wanting to give up that higher Bernese influence, Glitch and Rocky may be exactly what you’ve been waiting for.
*If having a "Mini unfurnsished" is truly your preference, we are planning on having a mini unfurnished litter this spring, but they will likely be non-ultra multigenerational to ensure they stay as small as possible.
Ultra Bernedoodles/Multigens — Avi’s Planned Litter (Cooper or Shamrock)
Anticipated February 2027
Avi is such a special girl and one we have completely fallen in love with. She is incredibly sweet, smart, eager to please, and has the kind of temperament that makes her a joy to live with. Everyone who meets her also seems to fall in love with her beautiful, straighter furnished coat. She is an amazing Ultra Bernedoodle who has already produced wonderful puppies for us, and we are very excited to see what she gives us in this next litter.
We are intentionally keeping Avi’s pairing open while we watch how our Master List develops. Her final sire will ultimately depend on availability, readiness, completed health testing, and which pairing makes the most sense for both our breeding program and the families currently waiting.
One of our goals with this litter is to continue producing that smaller "mini"-to-medium size while maintaining as much Bernese influence as we reasonably can. We also know we have families waiting for both furnished and unfurnished puppies, so the sire we choose will influence those possibilities.
If we choose Cooper, we statistically expect approximately 75% furnished and 25% unfurnished puppies. If we choose Shamrock, that changes to approximately 50% furnished and 50% unfurnished. Of course, genetics don’t always divide themselves perfectly according to the percentages on paper—we’ve certainly seen that firsthand!—but these numbers give us an idea of what each pairing could produce. Regardless of stud choice, we hope to keep the pups around 40-50 (maybe some as big as 60) pounds.
Either option gives us the opportunity for traditional tricolor or phantom abstract. Most importantly, both pairings give us something we are really excited about: the potential for beautiful furnished and unfurnished puppies while continuing to preserve the Bernese influence we love in our Ultras.
No matter which sire ultimately becomes the right choice for Avi, we think this litter will offer a little something for everyone looking for a smaller Bernedoodle—and we cannot wait to see what she produces.
Munchkin Bernedoodles — Mabel × Charlie
NOT YET BRED; Anticipated December 2026 | Take-Home February 2027
Munchkin Bernedoodles may be all the rage right now, but if you know us, you know we don’t typically follow trends. This is a cross we are adding with intention after hearing repeated requests from families on our Master List who love everything about the Bernedoodle but are looking for a smaller, compact companion. Many of you have always loved cavapoos but don't want to give up on your dream to have a bernedoodle, too.
What made us comfortable exploring this option is the addition of the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. We love the sweet, affectionate, people-oriented qualities Cavaliers can bring to a family dog, and we believe those traits can complement what we already love about our Bernedoodles beautifully while also sizing down the breed in an appropriate way.
We have secured Charlie, an adorable 12-pound Cavapoo, for our sweet Mabel. At just 19 pounds herself, Mabel is incredibly smart, affectionate, and the definition of a Velcro dog. Combining those qualities with Charlie’s Cavalier influence is exactly why we are excited about this pairing—not simply because Munchkins are popular, but because we believe there is a thoughtful place for this cross within our program.
Mabel is expected to come into heat any day now, putting puppies on track to arrive sometime in December, with take-home anticipated for mid to late February.
Families choosing extended training will also have the opportunity to keep their puppy with us into March, making this an especially fun option for someone hoping to welcome home a smaller dog to their lives next Spring.
We expect these puppies to mature under 25–30 pounds, with many potentially around 20 pounds or less. Expected colors include traditional tricolor, phantom abstract, and beautiful shades of red, with wavy and curly coat possibilities.
This will be our first Munchkin Bernedoodle litter, and we are approaching it the same way we approach every addition to our program: thoughtfully, intentionally, and with temperament and family compatibility at the forefront. The master list for our munchkin bernedoodles is kept seperate from our traditional furnished bernedoodle waitlist, and now is a great time to join that master list for the option to join Mabel's upcoming litter or even another munchkin pairing ready closer to summertime. As always, our waitlists dictate our breeding plans, so acting early allows us to have more of crosses you love and desire!
Purebred Bernese Mountain Dogs — Banx × Otis OR Bruin x Apollo/Alpha
NOT YET BRED; Anticipated Winter/Spring 2027 | Take-Home Spring 2027
THIS IS ONE WE WILL NOT SKIP, BUT TIMING AND PAIRING WILL DEPEND ON HEAT CYCLE TIMING
We know for certain that we will be planning one purebred Bernese Mountain Dog litter for winter/spring 2027, but the final pairing will ultimately depend on the timing of our girls’ heat cycles.
We currently have several litters in the works, and part of responsible breeding is making sure our resources are never spread too thin. As those pregnancies and upcoming litters unfold, we’ll be able to make the best decision for our dogs, puppies, and families.
Depending on timing, we anticipate pairing Banx with Otis or Reggie (Otis' son who has his health testing this Fall!!), OR Bruin with Apollo or Alpha (stud choices will depend on best genetic pairing!) We’ll make that final decision as we get closer and have a clearer picture of everyone’s timing.
What makes this especially exciting is that these potential pairings bring together some of our favorite foundational males and females, along with a few truly remarkable newer lines we’ve intentionally added to our program. There honestly isn’t an option here that we aren’t excited about!
No matter which pairing ultimately comes together, we expect a beautiful litter with the structure, temperament, and classic qualities we love so much about the Bernese Mountain Dog. Stay tuned as the plan unfolds!
